![]() It's the same lens as the Voigtlander Color-Ultron but with HFT coating. ![]() The Planar 1.8 50mm was assembled from 1974 with HFT coating, both in Germany and Singapore. The info I have here - link below - says the 1.4 Planar QBM was made with HFT coating from 1972 and were made at Germany only, being the same design as the C/Y Planar - probably the same lens with the QBM mount. I don't care who designed it, who made it or what country it comes from - I just enjoy using it! So what do I have in this SL version? Is it multicoated? I take it it doesn't have the HFT coating? I used to have a later Rollei Planar 1.8/50 with the rubber focus and aperture rings, that did have the red HFT lettering. My Rollei Planar 1.4/50 also has this all metal barrel but says made in West Germany and has the red HFT lettering. I have a Rollei Planar SL 1.8/50, it has the same style all metal barrel as the Carl Zeiss made version but says made in Singapore on the back. ![]() Posted: Sun 9:23 am Post subject: Rollei Planars ![]()
